ADMISSION PROCEDURE & GUIDELINES

Admission is as per merit and other norms as laid down by the University, the Government and the Management from time to time. The Principal reserves the right to amend/modify the guidelines regarding admission, as and when amendments/modifications are received from the Government, the University or the Management, as the case may be. All rules and regulations are accordingly notified on the college notice board at the time of admission. Parents/students are requested to go through the guidelines and admission notices displayed on the college notice board before seeking admission to the college.

Admission to Degree Courses

  1. The online merit-based admission process has been adopted.
  2. Students who have completed Level 4 under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 / passed the 10+2 Examination or its equivalent are eligible for admission to the First Year under NEP 2020.
  3. Students seeking admission to the First Year have to apply for the University Eligibility Certificate and pay the prescribed fees.
  4. Students from any other college affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University seeking admission to this college shall produce a Transfer Certificate (TC) at the time of admission.
  5. Students coming from any other University will have to pay Rs. 100/- for the Eligibility Certificate along with the application form (Rs. 200/- for students from outside Maharashtra). They have to produce the following documents (two copies each):

    a) Migration Certificate
    b) Passing Certificate
    c) Transfer Certificate
    d) Attendance Certificate
    e) Statement of Marks
    f) Character Certificate

  6. Students will be granted provisional admission. The admission will be confirmed only after receipt of the Eligibility Certificate from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
  7. Every student seeking admission to the First Year shall undergo a medical check-up by the University-authorized Medical Officer. The application for the Eligibility Certificate will be forwarded to the University only after submission of the Medical Certificate.
  8. The College shall reserve not less than 3% of seats for differently abled students.
  9. No student shall be permitted to change the subjects opted for at the time of admission during the academic year.

Admission Procedure

  1. Students seeking admission to the College shall submit the duly filled admission form along with the prescribed fees on the specified date. The following documents must be submitted along with the application form:

    a) Statement of Marks – Two attested true copies.
    b) School Leaving Certificate – Original + Two attested true copies.
    c) If applying for any scholarship/fee concession, duly filled application forms along with the Caste Certificate/Income Certificate issued by the Tahsildar.
    d) Aadhaar Card is mandatory for all students.

  2. Students, after taking admission, shall immediately procure the Identity Card duly signed by the Principal or the Vice-Principal of the College.
  3. It is obligatory for every student to carry the Identity Card and Admission Receipt.
  4. The academic year consists of two terms. A compulsory Term-End Examination will be conducted in October/November.
  5. The Post Graduate (PG) classes will commence on 1st August.
  6. Students shall pay the full amount of fees along with the application form at the time of admission.
  7. Medical check-up is compulsory for all First Year students for obtaining the University Eligibility Certificate.

Cancellation of Admission and Rules for Refund of Fees

  1. Cancellation of admission before the commencement of the course: It is resolved that for the courses under the jurisdiction of DTE, the scheme for refund of fees shall be as follows.
  2. Cancellation charges and refund of Tuition, Development and other fees for admissions secured through CAP: A candidate who has been provisionally admitted through CAP may cancel the admission by submitting an application in duplicate and may request a refund of fees.
  3. The applicable cancellation charges and refund of fees shall be processed by the respective institute in due course. Such application for cancellation shall be considered only if the admission has been taken provisionally through CAP by paying the prescribed tuition fee in full and by submitting the original documents as prescribed.
  4. Refund of Tuition Fees and other fees shall be made after deduction of the applicable cancellation charges after allotment in each round of allotment/admission, as prescribed.
