Physics

The Department of Physics was established in 1998 and offers a B.Sc. Physics undergraduate (U.G.) program. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and modern instrumentation, providing students with a hands-on learning experience in experimental physics. It also boasts a rich collection of educational resources such as physics models, charts, and educational kits that support students in independent learning and research.

The Department of Physics is proud to have a dedicated Physics Club that organizes regular seminars, workshops, and guest lectures by eminent industry professionals to enhance students’ knowledge and exposure. Additionally, the department organizes field visits to research institutes and observatories, providing students with a deeper understanding of cutting-edge scientific research and technological advancements.

As part of its outreach and awareness programs, the department organizes various activities such as Physics Quiz Competitions, Science Model Exhibitions, and Seminars on Current Scientific Developments. The department also promotes environmental and social awareness through initiatives like Energy Conservation Campaigns (including Solar Awareness Programs) and Scientific Community Outreach Programs.
