The Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj is one of the most prestigious and well known institution of learning in the State of Maharashtra. It manages 485 educational units & is one of the premier educational hub in the jurisdiction of Savitribai Phule Pune University. The moto of our parent institute is
‘Bahujan Hitay, Bahujan Sukhay’.
Accordingly MVP samaj is imparting education in remote places of Nashik district.
Maratha Vidya prasarak Samaj’s Shri Swami Shattkopacharyaji Maharaj Arts, Science and Commerce College, Saykheda is situated on the bank of river Godavari in Niphad tahshil a rural region of Nashik district. Our college was established in 1998. Hon’ble 1008 Swami Krishnamacharyaji Maharaj from Saykheda has donated 5acre Land for the college.
The Institute believes in providing top quality education coupled with holistic growth of a Students and aims to create a successful global citizen. During the course of development of the college along with UG courses, college has started PG courses in arts, science and commerce faculty. College has unique facility of boat club. We have ‘Kayaking’, water sports. Students take advantage of this facility.
College is popular for its discipline and administrative control, regularity and sincerity which reflected in more number of admissions of girls students from rural area. Along with curricular activities, institute has identified the importance of co- curricular and extracurricular activities. Students are encouraged and motivated to participate in these activities.
College has completed three cycles of accreditation by NAAC with B, B+ and B++ grades respectively. There are many challenges before college. I am confident that with the help of our parent institute MVP samaj, Nashik, my colleagues, students and other stakeholders we will overcome them and rise flying colours.
